About 6 Kms, South of catanzaro Lido, on a hill in part bounded by a ravine there is the village of Squillace Superiore.

The restored Norman Castle and the Cathedral, the origins of which seem go back to the early Christian era, is very interesting to visit. The facade, infact, is in carved stone of Roman inspiration.
