Sellia Marina

Sellia Marina is a seaside village with plenty of sandy beaches, there are plenty of residential holiday complex's along the coast as it has been popular since the 1970's. Of note in the village is Villa Schipani (17th C.) and a spring of purgative water. Sellia Superiore, a typical Calabrian village is farther up in the hills. Sellia is not far from Catanzaro, the major town in the area. This is spectacular seen from below as it stands on a rocky spur bordered by deep torrents. The tourist towns of Catanzaro Lido and Le Castella are nearby. Soverato, Copanello and Caminia are a short drive away. The airport and motorway at Lamezia is about 40 minutes away. The train station of Catanzaro Lido is nearby and Sellia Marina has also a train station (rail-line to Taranto).The Tyrrehnian Coastal resorts of Pizzo, Tropea and Capo Vaticano are just an hour away.
